About
From the deserts of the Southwest to its forests and rivers, Hispanic communities have a deep, generational relationship with the land. Hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, farming, and other practices are not simply hobbies; they are cultural traditions, livelihoods, and ways of life handed down from one generation to the next.
These connections are part of our heritage and are rooted in two values: querencia, a deep sense of belonging to the land, and herencia, the heritage we inherit and our responsibility to pass it on.
Founded in 2013, Hispanics Enjoying Camping, Hunting, and the Outdoors (HECHO) was born from that profound connection to the land and a shared sense of responsibility to protect it.
My Contribution
As part of the HECHO team at The Hatcher Group, I was in charge of designing their celebratory booklet that unfolds to reveal a poster with their 10-year timeline. I also assisted in creating video assets for HECHO's 10-year anniversary video.
